This summer, my main goal is to ignore my inner introvert and say yes more often. To achieve this, I need a car kit filled with every necessity a girl could dream of, ensuring that my beach hair or salty skin will never hold me back.
Cetaphil Makeup Wipes
Firstly, makeup remover wipes are a must for this car kit. Whether or not you’re wearing makeup this summer, sometimes your skin needs a little pick me up. These wipes are affordable, easily accessible (amazon!!) and are non-clogging.
Amika Dry Shampoo
Next, any dry shampoo will work, but I highly recommend the brand Amika. This dry shampoo doubles as a perfume because that’s how good it smells. We all get greasy hair after driving with the windows down, making dry shampoo a necessity.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
The only makeup a girl needs this summer is concealer. With the hope of being naturally bronzed and sun-kissed, the only touch-up required will be a bit of concealer. My top pick is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind—super affordable and effective! Pro tip: choose a pink-toned concealer to counteract dark circles
Hair Wax Stick
If your hair is past the point of using dry shampoo, my next recommendation would be a hair wax stick. This will allow you to achieve the clean girl slick back look that we all know and love. Even the tiniest baby hairs are no match for this hair wax stick.
Dove Shea Butter Deodorant
Most importantly, on behalf of all your friends, please don’t use a natural deodorant. This may be a hot take, but I’d rather put chemicals on my arm pits than smell bad. Dove does sell aluminum free deodorant, but my personal favourite scent is the Shea Butter.
Sol de Janeiro Body Mist
Lastly, a body mist is a key essential to our car kit and is the best way to quickly freshen up. I strongly recommend Sol de Janeiro number 40 which is the best mix of vanilla and fruity florals. The small size will perfectly fit into any makeup bag and can be used on both your hair and body. Pro tip: get the matching body lotion to strengthen the scent.
